Many, many years ago, when I was probably in either first, second, or third grade, the good Sisters at St. Philomena School gave all students the chance to buy (or, rather, make a donation to "the Missions") a statue of St. Joseph to give to your father on Father's Day. I did, and my Dad kept that statue on his dresser for the rest of his life.
Earlier this week, I took possession of that statue, and now it sits atop my dresser.
For a statue that probably cost one or two dollars at the time, and is now well over fifty years old, it's in remarkable condition, don't you think?
