It is always fun to discover something new and have a pleasant experience in doing so. Such was the case yesterday when the old Ex-Highmark Gang gathered at the Firestone Farms Golf Course in Columbiana, Ohio. I had always heard good things about the place, but had never played there, so this was a first for me.
Terrific course, wonderful condition, fun to play, only about an hour's drive from the North Hills of Pittsburgh, and only twenty-five bucks, cart included, to play. Gotta love those "senior rates"! And I broke a hundred, so the day was a smashing success.
If it isn't there already, put Firestone Farms on your list of "must plays" for this coming golf season.
