Hawaii Five-0 Thoughts

We are now halfway through the second season of the new incarnation of "Hawaii Five-O" and it is still must-see-TV in our house. The DVR is set to record all new episodes, so we never miss it. We like Alex O'Laughlin and Scott Caan in the lead roles, and even if the complete and total "bad-assness" of O'Laughlin's Steve McGarrett sometimes defies rational belief, so what. It's all part of what makes for a fun show.

All that said, however, the "who-killed-Steve's-father-and-why" back story that haunts every episode needs to be drawn to a conclusion. This has become so drawn out and convoluted, that I can no longer keep track of who's who, who did what, who's a good guy, who's a bad guy. At this point, I wonder if the writers of the show even know where they are going with this. As for Joe, the bald guy who was Steve's ex-SEALS commander, he has got to go. I'm tired of him.

As I said, let's find out who killed Steve's dad, let Steve kick the shit out of him, let his Dad now rest in peace, and let the Five-O crew solve the crime of the week. That's the way Jack Lord's Five-O did it, and they lasted for thirteen seasons on TV.

Book 'em, Danno!

Aloha.
