Canada 3 - USA 2 in overtime for the Gold Medal. A great game to conclude a great tournament. It was fitting that Canada win this at "home", and how great that the game winner comes from Sydney Crosby.
Do not equate our friendly neighbors to the north with godless commies in Russia. Besides, I'm more concerned with getting a USA curling squad together that can at least make the medal round!
"godless commies" ... I love it. I looked forward to the Olympic Hockey, and was thrilled with those games ... gets better every 4 years. Anyway, I continue to be amazed and confused by the "I hate Sydney Crosby" wave that sweeps (outside Pgh) NHL cities. In Philly, it is rampant! Google this issue and you'll see plenty, including "Man with a vagina" headlines. Has there been inbreeding with WWE fans? Since I no longer follow the NHL very closely, (having been turned-off by the thugery factor), I'm not sure why Crosby is so hated??? Please enlighten me (if you can), or is it simply a case of "We're pissed because he's on your team, not ours!" (Hey, Bobby Clark played a similar "game" in the 70's). Enough.
Will it be equally fitting if Russia beats the US in the final in four years on an overtime goal by Malkin?
